While Karva Chauth is an integral part of several Bollywood films, did you know that it is also a part of filmy celebrities’ lives even off screen? Every year, many Bollywood stars come together to celebrate this festival wherein a wife fasts for the long life of her husband. This year too, the celebs were seen enjoying the festivities at Anil Kapoor’s residence.

Thanking Anil Kapoor’s wife Sunita Kapoor for planning a lavish Karva Chauth party, the guests of the evening which included many from the fraternity like their family member Sridevi, Shilpa Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Neelam, and Farah Khan among others shared pictures of the celebrations on social media. Other family members Sanjay Kapoor and wife Maheep Kapoor too were present at the Karva Chauth party.

On the other hand, renowned journalist Bhawna Somaya too was a part of the event and shared glimpses of the rituals that were being practiced during the festivity. Karva Chauth celebrates the bond of marriage wherein the wife fasts for her husband from sunrise to moonrise and only eats and drinks [even water] after performing a few rituals that also requires the presence of the husband.

In fact, posting a picture during one such ritual was also Raj Kundra who not only shared photos on his Instagram page but also wrote a lovely note for his wife. “Chand chupa iphone mean ?? ?? who needs to see a moon when I can see a star @theshilpashetty #karvachauth #love #forever #mygirl #wife.” His reference to the moon on the phone was owing to the fact that rain had played a spoilsport last night and hence many wives in and around the city of Mumbai couldn’t see the moonrise due to the weather conditions.

Besides this, Raj Kundra also thanked their perfect hosts Anil and Sunita Kapoor along with the rest of the Kapoor family saying, “An annual #karwachauth ritual at the Kapoor’s house. Thank you #SunitaKapoor @anilskapoor always amazing hosts. I just managed to get into this picture in the nick of time :) @sanjaykapoor2500 u rock as always x.”

Furthermore, the lady gang seemed to have a whole lot of fun during the get-together as Shilpa Shetty also posted this video of her along with her entire group wishing Karva Chauth to everyone on social media. Also, the actress went on to post another funny video where she was seen enjoying dessert after staying hungry for the entire day as she even gave us a glimpse of other ladies enjoying their platter.
