Ajay Devgn collaborates with filmmaker Milan Luthria years after the release of Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai (2010) for a period drama titled Baadshaho. The film that features him opposite Ileana D’Cruz will involve a horse sequence that will take you back to the film they last collaborated.

Milan Luthria’s films have had iconic horse race or similar situations since the filmmaker is a passionate horse lover, rider and racing enthusiast and hence, Baadshaho is no different. For this, Milan came up with a unique sequence, which he executed himself. Shooting in the land of polo, Rajasthan, Milan and writer Rajat Aroraa designed a sequence that has Ajay Devgn, throwing caution to the winds when he accepts a dare and walks across a polo field with a polo game in full flow during the song ‘Mere Rashke Qamar’, a romantic number picturized on him and Ileana.

Let us remind you that polo is one of the fastest games and it is quite difficult to shoot the same since animals come into play. Hence two professional polo teams were hired and the sequence was shot at Jodhpur polo ground. Milan himself mounted one of the horses while showing the players the dangerous moves they had to execute at full gallop around Ajay, who would be walking through. After several rehearsals which Ajay watched, the sequence was canned in one take without any accidents.

The only close shave was when one of the horses stopped abruptly when he sensed the Steadicam right next to him, but Ajay, an avid rider himself, had the presence of mind to just take a half step and let the horse pass without cutting the shot.

As for the film Baadshaho, it also stars Emraan Hashmi along with Esha Gupta, Vidyut Jammwal playing prominent roles and it is slated to release on September 1.
