The Farhan Akhtar-Vidya Balan starrer SHAADI KE SIDE/EFFECTS has embarked on a decent start, with approx 30% occupancy across most sectors. The opening was lower at some screens, but slightly higher at some. The release of the film has been timed during examinations, which could be one of the reasons why its opening has been affected. However, when compared to HIGHWAY last week and HASEE TOH PHASEE released three weeks ago, the opening numbers of SHAADI KE SIDE/EFFECTS are much better.
Like it happens with most films targeted at the multiplex audience, including HIGHWAY and HASEE TOH PHASEE, SHAADI KE SIDE/EFFECTS too is expected to gather momentum from evening/night show onwards. The positive reviews and strong word of mouth are expected to lend a boost to its business. Also, with no major opposition to contend with, SHAADI KE SIDE/EFFECTS is expected to dominate the marketplace this week.
