This week we see the release of two contrasting films in the form of Raaz Reboot and Pink. While Pink features the veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan alongside Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Andrea, Raaz Reboot which is the fourth instalment in the hit Raaz franchise features Emraan Hashmi, Kriti Kharbanda and Gaurav Arora. But, which of these two releases will eventually emerge as the winner is the question.
Reports suggest that both films have got off to a decent start with occupancy rates during morning shows being pegged at approximately 25% each. From the business perspective, Pink is aimed mainly at multiplex going audience, especially in the metros. Raaz Reboot, on the other hand, appeals to a more massy market and masala entertainment seeking audiences.
Considering this diverse target audiences, both films are expected to fare well at the box office, without eating into each other's market share.
On the whole, though both Raaz Reboot and Pink enjoy favour from different segments of audiences, both films will have to depend positive word of mouth to grow over the weekend.
