The much talked about and keenly anticipated Tiger Shroff –Hrithik Roshan starrer War released last week on Gandhi Jayanti. Said to be 2019’s biggest action entertainer, the film that released across 4000 screens in the domestic market opened on a thunderous note raking in Rs. 53.35 cr on Day 1.
In this box office report we take a look at the collections of War on its opening weekend while comparing the same to Tiger Shroff’s previous releases. Collecting Rs. 166.25 cr over its five day extended opening weekend War has managed to out beat the collections of Tiger’s previous releases Baaghi 2 that had collected Rs. 73.1 cr. Apart from Baaghi 2, the business of War has also surpassed the collections of Tiger Shroff’s other releases like, Student of the Year 2 that collected Rs. 38.83 cr, Baaghi that collected Rs. 38.58 cr, A Flying Jatt that collected Rs. 29.45 cr, Munna Muchael that collected Rs. 21.67 cr, and Heropanti that had collected Rs. 21.33 cr.
As of now, War still runs unopposed in theatres and is more than likely to continue its stellar run at the box office. Given the current trend and the fact that the film faces little to no competition, trade expectations state that the business of War will cross the Rs. 200 cr mark in the next few days.
