In just 15 days, Kabir Singh has gone past the lifetime numbers of Bharat. The Salman Khan starrer had collected Rs. 215 crores and the Shahid Kapoor flick currently stands at Rs. 218.60 crores. This was after the third Friday brought in Rs. 5.40 crores. The film would next go past the lifetime business of Uri - The Surgical Strike and that should happen before the close of third week.
That said, the film has still taken a dip from second Thursday numbers of Rs. 6.72 crores, when ideally it should have been closer to Rs. 6 crores since there was zero competition from Hindi releases. Though there would be a good jump all over again over the weekend, the fact remains that the journey towards the Rs. 300 Crore Club has become tougher.
On coming Friday, Super 30 is releasing and that would break the uninterrupted run of Kabir Singh. The overall collections would still go past the Rs. 280 crores mark which means it would be eventually higher than what Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3 had accumulated in its lifetime.
All Time Blockbuster.
