The Salman Khan starrer Sultan has been grossly underperforming in China since its release five days ago. After opening on a slow note, the business of the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial continued to see tepid response from the audience within the Chinese market. With collections remaining low, the overall performance of Sultan at the China box office has been surprisingly underwhelming.
Now after a slow four days, the fifth day business of Sultan at the China box office echoed a similar note with just USD 0.40 million [Rs. 2.86 cr] more coming in. With this, the total collections of Sultan in China are currently pegged at just USD 3.85 million [Rs. 27.61 cr].
Surprisingly, unlike previous releases, the business of Sultan at the China box office has been rather lacklustre, and going by current trends it looks certain that the overall business of Sultan will not touch the Rs. 50 cr mark.
