The Rani Mukherji starrer Hichki released a while back in India. Directed by Siddharth P Malhotra the film featured the actress playing a teacher who suffers from Tourette syndrome. Now after quite a while Hichki hit screens in China, retitled as My Teacher With Hiccups the film opened on a rather slow note. In fact, reports state that Hichki has managed to draw in just USD 0.77 million [Rs. 5.67 cr] on its opening day. With this the film has managed to claim the sixth spot on the daily highest grossers list at the China box office. However, given the fact that the Chinese audience prefer films with socially relevant messages, expectations are the business of Hichki in China will see growth as the days progress.
