The box office record smashing mammoth release Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion which did stunningly well in India finally released in China. Following previous Bollywood releases that have worked at the China box office expectation for Baahubali 2 are at an all-time high. But will the film live up to these expectations at the box office is the question.
Collecting USD 2.41 million [Rs. 16.10 cr] Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion has surpassed the opening day collections of previous releases like Aamir Khan’s Dangal and PK that had collected USD 2.05 million and USD 899,000 respectively. However, despite being one of the highest grossing films in Indian till date, the opening day collections of Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion at the China box office do not manage to surpass certain other releases. In fact, the business of Baahubali 2 on Day 1 falls far short of the first day collections of Secret Superstar that had collected USD 6.88 million, Hindi Medium that collected USD 3.39 million and Bajrangi Bhaijaan that collected USD 2.8 million.
While the film has opened on a good note at the China box office, now all that remains is to see whether Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion manages to see growth over its opening weekend in China and whether the film eventually becomes one of the highest grossers in this market as well.
