Varun Dhawan is certainly flying high. After his latest release Judwaa 2 which also features Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu opened on a good note the film has been doing very well at the domestic box office.
After collections Rs. 16.10 cr on its opening day, Judwaa 2 that has released across 3500+ within the domestic market has managed to draw in a steady Rs. 20 cr. on the following two days. With Rs. 20.55 cr coming in on Saturday and Rs. 22.60 cr on Sunday the total box office collections of Judwaa 2 within three days of its release stands at Rs. 59.25 cr.
Interestingly, with Judwaa 2 doing well at the box office the film has now become Varun Dhawan’s first release to have clocked Rs. 20 cr. in collections on two consecutive days. Ranbir Kapoor held the record [for an actor from the new generation] to have clocked Rs. 20 cr. on two consecutive days. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani [2013] had collected Rs. 20.16 cr. on Day 2 and Rs. 22.5 cr. on Day 3 respectively.
