Box office: Tubelight becomes Salman Khan’s 6th highest first week grosser :Bollywood Box Office

The Kabir Khan directed film Tubelight starring Salman Khan released a week ago. After opening to mixed response from the audiences and critics alike the film found the going tough at the box office. However, despite this, Tubelight that also featured Sohail Khan and Chinese actress Zhu Zhu managed to do decently well during the week.

Collecting Rs. 106.86 cr in its opening week Tubelight ranks as Salman Khan’s sixth highest first week grosser. Though the film, does not manage to surpass the collections of the actor’s previous releases like Bajrangi Bhaijaan that collected Rs. 184.62 cr, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo that collected Rs. 172.82 cr, Kick that collected Rs. 164.09 cr, Ek Tha Tiger that collected Rs. 154.21 cr, and Bodyguard that collected Rs. 115 cr, the film does manage to surpass Salman’s other releases like Dabangg 2 that collected Rs. 106.78 cr, Jai Ho that collected Rs. 88.78 cr and Dabangg that collected Rs. 81 cr.
