It has been a week since the release of Tubelight starring Salman Khan, Sohail Khan and Chinese actress Zhu Zhu. Directed by Kabir Khan, the film failed to perform slower than expected at the box office. In fact Tubelight received mixed reviews from the audience and critics and that greatly seems to have dented the film’s overall box office performance.

Not surprisingly Tubelight that has collected Rs. 106.86 cr in its opening week at the box office ranks as the director’s third highest opening week grosser. Though unable to surpass the collections of Kabir’s previous directorial ventures like Bajrangi Bhaijaan that collected Rs. 184.62 cr and Ek Tha Tiger that collected Rs. 154.21 cr, the collections of Tubelight do manage to out beat the director’s other film Phantom that collected Rs. 47.4 cr.
