The horror comedy Stree that released a while back has been doing stellar business at the box office. Starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, the film opened to good response from both the audiences and critics. After taking a flying start, the business of Stree continued to grow as the days passed. Now, despite new releases hitting screens since its release, Stree has still managed to hold its own at the box office.
In this box office report,we take a look at the collections of Stree in its second week running while comparing the same to previous releases of 2018. Surprisingly, Stree that has collected Rs. 35.14 cr in its second week has managed to become the fourth highest second week grosser of 2018. In fact, the business of the Amar Kaushik directed film has managed to surpass the second week collections of previous releases like Raazi that collected Rs. 35.04 cr, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety that collected Rs. 29.77 cr, Raid that collected Rs. 27.06 cr, and Race 3 that collected Rs. 24.20 cr. However, the business of Stree does not manage to out beat certain other releases like Sanju that collected Rs. 92.85 cr, Padmaavat that collected Rs. 69.50 cr, and Baaghi 2 that had collected Rs. 35.60 cr.
Currently pegged at approximately Rs. 95 cr, the business of Stree is expected to cross the Rs. 100 cr mark by the end of the weekend. In fact, predictions state that Stree which still continues to run in cinemas is likely to close business well past the Rs. 100 cr mark.
