The Luv Ranjan directed film Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety seems to be doing well at the box office. Starring Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bahrucha and Sunny Singh the film took off on a good note on its release with positive feedback from both the critics and audience alike. In fact, after posting good numbers on its opening weekend and first week running, the business of the film on its second weekend in theatres has been rather good as well. Collecting Rs. 19.40 cr Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety has interestingly managed to surpass the collections of the Akshay Kumar starrer Pad Man to become the second highest second weekend grosser of 2018.
Though the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film Padmaavat that starred Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor tops the list as the highest second weekend grosser with collections of Rs. 46 cr, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety comes in second place followed by Pad Man with collections of Rs. 19.40 cr and Rs. 9.03 cr respectively.
Interestingly, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety still continues to enjoy the audiences’ favour and is expected to see growth in business on its second week running. As of now all that remains to be seen is whether the film that has already become one of the biggest success stories of the year manages to also enter the Rs. 100 cr club in the coming few weeks.
