The Rohit Shetty directed film Simmba finally hit screens. Starring Ranveer Singh the film has been keenly awaited by the audience and has quite literally been the talk of the town in the run up to its release. After hitting a total of 4020 screens in the domestic market, Simmba that opened on a decent note saw massive spurt in collections over evening and night shows. In fact, with positive reviews and strong word of mouth Simmba has managed to beat Padmaavat to become Ranveer Singh’s highest opening day grosser.
Collecting Rs. 20.72 cr Simmba that features Sara Ali Khan alongside Ranveer Singh has managed to surpass the collections of Ranveer’s earlier release Padmaavat that had collected Rs. 19 cr on its opening day to become the actor’s highest opening day grosser. If that wasn’t all, the Day 1 collections of Simmba have managed to record better figures than Ranveer’s other releases like Gunday that collected Rs. 16.12 cr, Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela that collected Rs. 16 cr, and Bajirao Mastani that had collected Rs. 12.80 cr.
Currently, with little to no competition from previous releases, Simmba that enjoys the audiences’ favour is expected to do roaring business over the weekend. In fact, if predictions are correct the film is sure to end 2018 with a massive huzza.
