Brand Sachin Tendulkar is doing the talking. After bringing in Rs. 8.60 crore on Friday (all languages), Sachin - A Billion Dreams further grew a bit on Saturday to bring in Rs. 9.20 crore (all languages). Though this may seem like a marginal growth, the fact remains that before the release of the film this number could have been considered quite good even on Sunday. The fact remains that the film opened to a very good level on Friday and hence from this point on it is a good enough deal for Sachin - A Billion Dreams to stay stable, leave aside growing remarkably on day by day basis.
The film has collected Rs. 17.80 crore in just two days and other than the fact that these are the highest ever numbers for an Indian docudrama release in theaters, it is set to past a few Bollywood releases of 2017. Sachin - A Billion Dreams is expected to collect between Rs. 10-11 crore today which would bring its total between Rs. 28-29 crore. This would mean it would be past the lifetime numbers of various other star driven affairs of 2017 in just three days!
This is also the first time ever when a director from abroad [James Erskine] has been able to make an impression in mainstream Indian release arena and managed to create good impression at the Box Office.
