Earlier this week we reported about the economics of the Akshay Kumar starrer Jolly LLB 2 and the profit the film made for its makers. In fact the film directed by Subhash Kapoor which was a sequel to the 2013 film Jolly LLB that featured Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani has had a good run at the box office.
But now taking our previous analysis of the film’s profit a bit further we decided to analyse how much Akshay Kumar really earned from the film. Considering this the film that was made on a budget of Rs. 45 cr (CoP Rs. 30 cr + P&A Rs. 15 cr) and earned Rs. 110.71 cr at the domestic box office, the makers of the film stood to earn around Rs. 63.19 cr as profit.
According to Bollywood Hungama sources, Akshay Kumar opted for 80% profit sharing ratio in Jolly LLB 2. Since Akshay Kumar came on board for the project with an 80% profit share, the actor stands to make approximately Rs. 45-50 crores as profit (after deduction of distribution expenses and/or commission).
Now, since Jolly LLB 2 still continues to run in theatres, the final tally of Akshay Kumar’s take home profit is likely to be higher. Looking at this it comes as no surprise why people from the industry state that they would like to learn how to make money from Akshay Kumar.
