Noor stays on in theaters with very low occupancy as Rs. 65 lakhs* more came in on Tuesday. The film needed weekdays in the excess of Rs. 1 crore each at the least on a daily basis if it all it had to even come close to respectable collections. However, none of that is happening and now the Sonakshi Sinha starrer is standing at mere Rs. 6.92 crore*.
As things stand today, the Sunhil Sippy directed film would struggle to hit the lifetime score of Rs. 10 crore. That's quite disappointing since even in the worst case scenario, one expected better from the film after watching the promos. Moreover, the irony is that the film is not really a disaster from the content perspective (as the collections may indicate) and it is primarily a matter of lack of interest element in catching it rather than rejecting it after watching it.
Nonetheless, Noor should now bring a close to the run of low grossing films [Phillauri, Begum Jaan being the others] and the season should see a fresh beginning with Baahubali 2 that arrives this Friday.
