The month of October has been harrowing for Bollywood with not even a single new release even taking a respectable start at the Box Office. With most of them turning out to be disasters and rest flops (though that doesn't say much either), the collections have been at the lowest ebb. The story was repeated by last Friday's releases 31st October, 1:13:7 - Ek Tera Saath, My Father Iqbal, Love Day, Gandhigiri, Biwi.com and Final Cut of Director as well, which have now disappeared without a trace. An arrival in heap hasn't helped the cause either as audiences chose to completely ignore what was being offered.
Instead, they still gave some attention to M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story by stepping in to some extent. As a result, it drew the best collections of the week with Rs. 3.4 crore more coming in. The total currently stands at Rs. 132.89 crore and the film's lifetime should be Rs. 134 crore.
For Fox, it couldn't have been a better time at the movies as from M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story, they now move to their biggest film of the year, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. They have been practically dominating right through the month gone by and now with Shivaay as the other competition in theatres; it would be interesting to see how the journey turns out for the corporate house in November.
