The recently released Anil Kapoor – Arjun Kapoor starrer Mubarakan seems to be doing well at the box office despite initially faltering with collections. Directed by Anees Bazmee the film which hit screens a little over a week ago has in fact show an increase in collections on its second weekend in theatres.
In this box office report we take a look at the collections of Mubarakan while comparing the same to previously released Anees Bazmee directed films. Collecting Rs. 41.74 cr after its second weekend in theatres Mubarakan ranks as Bazmee’s fourth highest grosser. Though the collections of the film do not surpass the director’s previous ventures like Ready that collected Rs. 119.78 cr, Welcome Back that collected Rs. 96.69 cr, and Thank You that collected Rs. 46.57 cr, it does surpass Bazmee’s other film No Problem that collected Rs. 28 cr.
Given the current trend at the box office, with the recently released Shah Rukh Khan – Anushka Sharma starrer Jab Harry Met Sejal underperforming, all that is left to be seen is whether Mubarakan reaps the benefit of this posting even higher collections in the coming days.
