It was Holiday which had brought Akshay Kumar in the league of actors who were bringing to fore serious cinema with entertaining narrative and a message to add as well. That was followed by Baby which made audiences look at the superstar in a different light altogether. Now Jolly LLB 2 has gone past the entire first week collections of these superb films in 6 days flat, with Rs. 5.89 crore coming in on Wednesday. The film now stands at Rs. 72.68 crore and with this, Week One of Holiday [Rs. 67.46 crore] and Baby [Rs. 63.82 crore] have been surpassed. As a matter of fact, there is also a close brush with Brothers [Rs. 72.60 crore].
Next target for the film is Singh Is Bliing, which was a holiday release, and had brought in Rs. 77.6 crore during its first week. The manner in which the Akshay Kumar film is currently trending, it should happen eventually and that would bring Jolly LLB 2 amongst the Top-5 Week One grossers of Akshay Kumar Week (after Rustom - Rs. 90.9 crore, Airlift - Rs. 83.5 crore, Housefull 3 - Rs. 80.1 crore and Rowdy Rathore - Rs. 79 crore).
Meanwhile, Jolly LLB 2 has already gone past first week collections of Gabbar Is Back [Rs. 60 crore] and Housefull 2 [Rs. 64.2 crore].
