Jagga Jasoos is now all set for a very ordinary first week as the collections are not really holding up. After a drop on Monday, there wasn't much of a respite on Tuesday as numbers slid further down. The film brought in Rs. 3.48 cr more and with this the overall collections so far stand at Rs. 40.70 cr.
The film will now eventually collect a little over Rs. 45 crore after the first week but that's about it. To have any chances of touching the Rs. 70 crore mark, it needed to have crossed Rs. 50 crore after the first week. However since that's not happening, the lifetime numbers would be pretty low.
Ranbir Kapoor has managed to get a film that has collected more than Bombay Velvet’s lifetime. However, it now has to be seen how much further does Jagga Jasoos go beyond Besharam which had collected Rs. 60 cr in its final run. That film had seen a very huge opening day of over Rs. 20 cr but then crashed to collect just three times that number in its lifetime. In case of Jagga Jasoos, the trend was better over the weekend as numbers did grow from Rs. 8.57 cr opening day. However, after a huge jump on Saturday, the collections haven't been too encouraging during the weekdays.
