Hindi Medium has managed to do what it was expected to after reviews and word of mouth started floating around its content. The film managed to have a good Monday, what with collections to the tune of Rs. Rs. 3.15 crore. Compare this to the Friday collections [Rs. 2.81 crore] and you pretty much gain an idea that the film should now have good footfalls coming in for the rest of the week as well.
The film had even better footfalls on Monday when compared to Friday and that is remarkable considering the fact that it has competition from both Half Girlfriend and Baahubali 2 [Hindi]. Still, it is finding its own set of audiences which is ensuring that there are consistent footfalls right through the day. In fact at certain properties the ticket rates go down as well on the weekdays and still Hindi Medium has better numbers.
The Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar starrer has now collected Rs. 15.71 crore already and that is on the same lines as the entire Week One of Talvar [Rs. 15.55 crore]. The Meghna Gulzar directed dramatic thriller stays on to be the highest solo grosser ever [Rs. 31 crore] for Irrfan Khan (where he is leading the show entirely) and now Saket Chaudhary directed comic drama appears set to surpass that number in the final run.
