The Rani Mukherji starrer Hichki directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra released a week ago. Based on a teacher suffering from Tourette’s syndrome, the film told a heart touching story that struck a chord with the audience both in the domestic and international market.
Now after a week’s run in the overseas markets Hichki has performed rather well managing to draw in USD 1.75 million [Rs. 11.30 cr] in its first week. Not surprisingly, a bulk of the overseas collections of Hichki are generated within the overseas territories of U.A.E/G.C.C with USD 737K [Rs. 4.79 cr] coming in following by US & Canada with collections of USD 475K [Rs. 3.09 cr] and UK & Ireland with a collection of USD 127K [Rs. 0.82 cr], while the rest of the world make us for USD 411K [Rs. 2.67 cr].
