Not surprisingly, the film tops the charts for both actors becoming the Highest Opening Weekend grosser collecting Rs. 108.86 crores in just three days.
In fact the Happy New Year manages to surpass the lead pair's previous release Chennai Express that collected Rs. 100.42 crores in the same time period.
