Happy Bhag Jayegi is managing to find a foothold in theaters. After keeping audience engaged right through the weekdays as well, it has entered the second week on a decent note. By bringing in Rs. 1.15 crore* more on its second Friday (which is not much of a fall from Monday - Rs. 1.62 crore), the Mudassar Aziz directed film is chugging along on a decent pace. Since the film has appeal for the family audience, it is expected to grow further today and tomorrow. In fact a good jump of around 50% is also not ruled out and that would take this Eros and Aanand L. Rai film past the safety mark.
With Diana Penty in the central role and Abhay Deol, Jimmy Sheirgill and Ali Fazal as her love interests, Happy Bhag Jayegi has already collected Rs. 18.8 crore* and would definitely go past the Rs. 20 crore mark today. What has to be seen though is how much closer does it come to the Rs. 30 crore milestone.
As for Rustom, it has collected Rs. 1.25 crore* on its third Friday and that is less than 50% fall from the second Monday [Rs. 2.21 crore] gone by. The film's collections currently stand at Rs. 118.25 crore* and as has been the trend for the film so far, a jump is expected in the numbers today. The film would go past Rs. 120 crore today and it is going to be wait and watch for the Akshay Kumar starrer to come closest (or possibly surpass) his biggest grosser of 2016, Airlift [Rs. 129 crore].
