Golmaal Again has been on a roll at the box office since its release. Directed by Rohit Shetty the fourth instalment in the Golmaal franchise which sees the return of the gang of boys from the earlier films viz. Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Khemmu and Shreyas Talpade also features Tabu and Parineeti Chopra joining the cast. After receiving positive reviews from critics the film was welcomed by the audience with open arms.
Thanks to this thunderous response from the audience Golmaal Again that drew in a staggering Rs. 30+ cr. on its opening day ended its opening weekend with a total collection of Rs. 87.60 cr. Continuing its money spinning run on its first Monday though the collections of the film saw a 50% drop from its Sunday collections Golmaal Again still managed to draw in Rs. 16.04 cr. At the close of its second week in theatres the film has managed to collect Rs. 182.92 cr. at the domestic box office.
While the film which initially released across 3500+ screens in the domestic market has continued to maintain a steady collection rate at the box office the overall business of Golmaal Again has seen a gradual decline in collections on weekdays. Given this usual trend of a lowered rate of box office earning as the days progress Golmaal Again is expected to draw in a further Rs. 12-13 cr. in its third week and approximately another Rs. 5 to 6 cr. in the following weeks it runs for.
However, with this gradual decrease in collections and the fact that the film will in all likelihood face competition coming in from newer releases in the subsequent weeks ahead, Golmaal Again is expected to close business at around Rs. 199-202 cr.
