When just two days collections of your film are compared with the lifetime collections of the biggest grossers of the year, it is clear that you are talking about a Blockbuster film here. This is what's happening in case of Dangal which is doing tremendous business all over and is now emerging as a terrific all around success. After a very good start on Friday [Rs. 29.78 crore], the film grew further on Saturday as well, what with Rs. 34.82 crore coming in. With this, the numbers have now touched Rs. 64.60 crore.
Now this is tremendous indeed as with this, the Aamir Khan starrer has gone past the *lifetime collections* of films like Udta Punjab [Rs. 60 crore], Befikre [Rs. 60 crore (expected)] and Mohenjo Daro [Rs. 58.5 crore] in *just two days*. This is one feat that you actually expect too from a film that arrives amidst such hype and the very fact that the end product is quite good too has further translated into a thumbs-up from the audience.
The film is all set to have a massive Sunday too and one waits with bated breath to check out if the dream number of Rs. 40 crore would be surpassed eventually. While one waits to see if that eventually happens, collections to the tune of even Rs. 35-37 crore would ensure that the film hits a century.
If that happens, Dangal would have gone past the *lifetime collections* of the following 2016 releases and that would place it amongst Top-7 grossers of the year in *just three days*:
Shivaay - Rs. 100.3 crore
Fan - Rs. 85 crore
Baaghi - Rs. 77 crore
Neerja - Rs. 75.65 crore
Kapoor & Sons - Rs. 73.3 crore
Dishoom - Rs. 70 crore
Pink - Rs. 68 crore
Dear Zindagi - Rs. 68 crore
Dangal is playing in the big league, and how!
Note: All collections as per production and distribution sources
