The second part of the SS Rajamouli directed epic saga Baahubali released just a week back. In fact Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion which has been one of the most keenly anticipated releases in the recent past took off on a stellar note with tickets to the films being sold almost instantaneously.
In this box office report we take a look at the collections of Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion [Hindi] at the end of its first week in theatres while comparing the same to previously released films. Not surprisingly, the film which has been keenly awaited since the release of the first part Baahubali – The Beginning, has raked in a staggering Rs. 247 cr from the Hindi version only. With this Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion ranks as the sixth Highest all time Bollywood grosser in the domestic market. Preceding the film are previous releases like Aamir Khan’s Dangal and PK that collected Rs. 387.38 cr and Rs. 340.8 cr respectively, Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sultan that collected Rs. 320.34 cr and Rs. 300.45 cr, and Dhoom 3 that collected Rs. 284.27 cr.
However, considering the fact that Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion still continues to run in theatres and enjoys yet another week’s run unopposed, the final tally of the film is expected to be much higher.
