Now that the recently released Krrish 3 featuring Hrithik Roshan in a triple role has been doing incredibly well at the Box Office, we decided to look at the film juxtaposed against the other Top first week grossers of 2013.
In this edition of Box Office Report Card, we compare Krrish 3 to the likes of Chennai Express, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Race 2, Grand Mast and others. Taking into consideration their collections in the first week of their release, Krrish 3 having collected Rs. 166.52 crores has managed to topple Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express, which made Rs. 156.7 crores, to take the first position.
With such collections, Krrish 3 is piqued to become the fastest film to touch the Rs. 200 crore mark. A point that needs mention here is that while Chennai Express' Opening Week collections included the paid preview collections, Boss and Besharam had a nine day week and yet posted lower collection figures as compared to Krrish 3.
At the same time we also compared Krrish 3 with Hrithik's earlier releases as well as past Diwali releases. Yet again in both segments, Krrish 3 takes the first spot accumulating the highest Opening Week figures.
