John Abraham starrer Batla House is managing to hold its own at theatres. On Saturday, the collections grew further when compared to Friday. The film collected Rs. 10.90 crores more and that’s further improvement over Rs. 8.84 crores that it had collected a day earlier. This is positive trending for the film as the jump is not just a token 10%-15% but a lot more and that too when the first day was already good at Rs. 15.55 crores.
The John Abraham starrer has already collected Rs. 35.29 crores in just three days and a big Sunday is yet to be taken into consideration. The film is all set to show an even further jump and that should take it closer to the Rs. 50 crores mark before the extended weekend is through.
For director Nikkhil Advani, this is definitely a shot in the arm. His D-Day was a well made film but unfortunately couldn’t cover much distance. However, his production company Emmay Entertainment has continued to make interesting films, last being Baazaar which was a fair success at the box office. Now Batla House has turned out to be a profitable venture already and it would be hold during the weekdays that would decide how big would it eventually become.
