John Abraham starrer Batla House is holding well at the box office. After scoring a good number on Thursday (Rs. 15.55 crores), there was always a risk that the drop may be a little steep on the second day (Friday) due to it being a regular working day and also massive competition from Mission Mangal which had collected almost double on the first day. However, the margin was reduced a bit on the second day as the numbers turned out to be good.
The John Abraham starrer brought in Rs. 8.84 crores more and that is majorly due to the single screens showing a much better hold. Even on Thursday the trending at the mass centres had allowed the collections to soar well and this is what kept the box office numbers churning on Friday as well.
So far, this Nikkhil Advani directed film is managing its own standing at the box office and giving an indication that it would go on to enjoy a good run in day by day basis. The collections stand at Rs. 24.39 crores currently and a weekend of over Rs. 50 crores is on the cards. Once that happens, it would be all about sustaining the momentum and in the process emerge as a clean hit.
