‘Zeher’ Leads, ‘Tango Charlie’ Disappoints!

Everyone expected the business to show a jump during the Easter weekend and it did. While BEWAFAA [U.K.] and BLACK [U.K., U.S.A.] continue to do steady business, the new release, ZEHER, has taken an encouraging start on limited screens in U.K., attaining the No. 1 position in screen averages amongst Bollywood films. However, the biggie, TANGO CHARLIE, hasn't found many takers in U.K.

U.K. BOX-OFFICE

  • BEWAFAA [last weekend: No. 24, this weekend: No. 23]: In its fifth weekend, the film has collected £ 27,632 on 17 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 1,625 [better than last weekend]. Total: £ 473,200 [approx. Rs. 3.89 crores].


  • BLACK [last weekend: No. 25, this weekend: No. 30]: In its eighth weekend, the film has collected £ 19,088 on 14 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 1,363 [better than last weekend]. Total: £ 454,676 [approx. Rs. 3.74 crores].


  • TANGO CHARLIE has debuted at No. 32 position. In its opening weekend, the film has collected £ 18,386 [approx. Rs. 15.13 lacs] on 16 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 1,149.


  • ZEHER has debuted at No. 39 position. In its opening weekend, the film has collected £ 9,790 [approx. Rs. 8.06 lacs] on 6 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 1,632.


  • KARAM [last weekend: No. 36, this weekend: No. 48]: In its third weekend, the film has collected £ 5,175 on 7 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 739. Total: £ 36,429 [approx. Rs. 29.98 lacs].


  • JURM [last weekend: No. 51, this weekend: No. 65]: In its sixth weekend, the film has collected £ 405 on 1 screen. Total: £ 35,347 [approx. Rs. 29.10 lacs].

  • BLACK: In its eighth weekend [No. 36], the film has collected $ 7,922 on 3 screens, with the per screen average working out to $ 2,641. New York total: $ 132,487.
