With biggies like I, ROBOT, SPIDER-MAN 2 and SHREK 2 dominating the box-office, it's getting increasing difficult for mediocre or weak Hindi films to sustain. However, HUM TUM continues to lead…

U.K. BOX-OFFICE

  • Despite the oppositions, the Salman Khan starrer GARV is steady on the lower side [last weekend: No. 14, this weekend: No. 17]. In its second weekend, the film has collected £ 20,694 on 15 screens, with the average per print working out to £ 1,380. The total so far has been £ 85,904 [approx. Rs. 73.92 lacs].


  • HUM TUM is rock-steady [last weekend: No. 22, this weekend: No. 25]. In its eighth weekend, the film has collected £ 5,350 on 6 screens, with the average per print working out to £ 892 [better than last weekend]. The total so far has been £ 626,769 [approx. Rs. 5.39 crores]. Fantastic!


  • GAYAB has fetched miserable collections. The film has debuted at No. 26 position, collecting £ 4,668 on 5 screens in its opening weekend [approx. Rs. 4.01 lacs], with the per screen average working out to £ 934. Very poor!


  • LAKSHYA continues to slide downwards [last weekend: No. 23, this weekend: No. 33]. In its fifth weekend, the film has collected £ 3,709 on 9 screens, with the per screen average working out to a mere £ 412. The total so far has been £ 281,958 [approx. Rs. 2.42 crores]. Disappointing!


  • The Punjabi hit ASA NU MAAN WATNA DA is holding on well, despite a strong flow of Hindi and English films [last weekend: No. 38, this weekend: No. 39]. In its tenth weekend, the film has collected £ 1,309 on 2 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 655. The total so far has been £ 169,242 [approx. Rs. 1.45 crores]. Excellent!


  • SHIKAAR continues to fall [last weekend: No. 43, this weekend: No. 50]. In its third weekend, the film has collected £ 382 on 2 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 191. The total so far has been £ 17,330 [approx. Rs. 14.90 lacs]. Weak!

U.S.A. BOX-OFFICE

  • The collections of LAKSHYA remain on the lower side [last weekend: No. 54, this weekend: No. 78]. In its fifth weekend, the film has collected $ 8,328 on 14 screens, with the per screen average being $ 595. The total so far has been $ 745,512 [approx. Rs. 3.43 crores].


  • FLAVORS has debuted at No. 47 position. The film has collected $ 56,000 on 14 screens in its opening weekend [approx. Rs. 25.84 lacs], with the per screen average working out to $ 4,000. Quite impressive, considering the heavy flow of biggies!
