‘V-Z’ Still At Top!

VEER-ZAARA continues to hold the No. 1 position for the fifth consecutive weekend, despite the heavy flow of new releases week after week. MUSAFIR, the new release, has had a favourable start in U.K. Normally, violent films are an absolute non-no in the Overseas territory, but the Sanjay Dutt-Anil Kapoor starrer has had a positive opening.


U.K. BOX-OFFICE

  • VEER-ZAARA [last weekend: No. 10, this weekend: No. 10] continues to feature in the Top 10 charts. In its fifth weekend, the film has collected £ 71,845 on 34 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 2,113. The total so far has been £ 1,775,741 [approx. Rs. 15.12 crores].


  • MUSAFIR has debuted on No. 18 position. In its opening weekend, the film has collected £ 40,079 [approx. Rs. 34.13 lacs] on 13 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 3,083

In terms of screen averages, this Sanju starrer has had a better average than DEEWAAR, RUDRAKSH, PLAN, L.O.C., MUNNABHAI M.B.B.S., EK AUR EK GYARAH, HATHYAR, MAINE DIL TUJHKO DIYA, PITAAH, JODI NO. 1, KURUKSHETRA, BAAGHI, JUNG and KHAUFF. The screen average of MUSAFIR is next to KAANTE [3,625], HUM KISISE KUM NAHIN [3,135], MISSION KASHMIR [3,306] and CHAL MERE BHI [3,098].

  • HULCHUL [last weekend: No. 21, this weekend: No. 21] also continues to occupy the same position. Rock-steady. In its third weekend, the film has collected £ 22,699 on 12 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 1,892. The total so far has been £ 141,436 [approx. Rs. 1.20 crores].


  • AITRAAZ [last weekend: No. 26, this weekend: No. 28] is steady on the lower side. In its fifth weekend, the film has collected £ 9,028 on 12 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 752. The total so far has been £ 226,284 [approx. Rs. 1.92 crores].


  • BRIDE AND PREJUDICE [last weekend: No. 39, this weekend: No. 39] also occupies the same position. In its tenth weekend, the film has collected £ 2,225 on 4 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 556. The total so far has been £ 5,159,921 [approx. Rs. 43.95 crores].

  • BRIDE AND PREJUDICE has debuted at No. 11 position. The film has collected $ 146,464 on 61 screens, with the per screen average working out to $ 2,401. Total: $ 146,558 [approx. Rs. 64.46 lacs].
