Good Start For ‘Vaada’!

After two rosy weekends [Christmas and New Year], it's back to reality. The business has plummeted drastically this weekend. In U.K., the only film to have stood out is the new release, VAADA.


U.K. BOX-OFFICE

  • VAADA has debuted at No. 18 position. In its opening weekend, the film has collected £ 41,417 [approx. Rs. 34.17 lacs] on 19 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 2,180. Good!

When compared to Arjun Rampal's previous release, ASAMBHAV [2004], in U.K., the collections of VAADA are much, much better. ASAMBHAV had collected £ 16,894 on 15 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 1,126.

  • SWADES [last weekend: No. 15, this weekend: No. 21]: In its fourth weekend, the film has collected £ 16,444 on 14 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 1,175. The total so far has been £ 360,018 [approx. Rs. 2.97 crores].

  • VEER-ZAARA [last weekend: No. 18, this weekend: No. 22]: In its ninth weekend, the film has collected £ 13,114 on 12 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 1,093. The total so far has been £ 1,995,388 [approx. Rs. 16.46 crores].

  • AB TUMHARE HAWALE WATAN SATHIYO [last weekend: No. 17, this weekend: No. 28]: In its third weekend, the film has collected £ 8,374 on 14 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 598. The total so far has been £ 154,487 [approx. Rs. 1.27 crores].

  • RAINCOAT [last weekend: No. 20, this weekend: No. 32]: In its third weekend, the film has collected £ 5,663 on 12 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 472. The total so far has been £ 74,551 [approx. Rs. 61.51 lacs].

  • DIL MAANGE MORE [last weekend: No. 21, this weekend: No. 40]: In its second weekend, the film has collected £ 4,177 on 9 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 464. The total so far has been £ 29,640 [approx. Rs. 24.45 lacs].

  • HULCHUL [last weekend: No. 29, this weekend: No. 46]: In its seventh weekend, the film has collected £ 2,180 on 6 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 363. The total so far has been £ 198,506 [approx. Rs. 1.63 crores].
