Vikram Khakhar, who has films like One By Two and Virsa behind him, is not just busy working towards the release of Main Aur Charles, but also on something that might just change the way people look at horror in Bollywood. He has now formed a vertical, that's tied up with 'Team Pentacle', a group that's dedicated to Paranormal Research and UFOlogy in India. Vikram, who plans to produce movies based on real paranormal investigations, has already signed up three filmmakers for the same, like Prawaal Raman, Vivek Agnihotri and Ayush Raina.
Talking about the paranormal concept, Vikram said that the whole idea was to attempt something within the said genre. He added that, of the 150 case files which Pentacle's Shishir Gupta gave him, around 20 will be shortlisted, which will gradually zero down to three, thus forming the subject matter of the aforementioned filmmakers. He also added that the pre-production will begin around September and he is hoping to come out with the first horror film in the first quarter of 2015.
On the other hand, life seems to have come a full circle for Vivek Agnihotri, who once made horror TV shows like Saturday Suspense and X Zone, before taking a plunge into films. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Vivek said, "When I was approached by Vikram, I was really upbeat about the whole process. The final product (read 'film') will be really something to watch out for. The people from 'Team Pentacle' are the ones who hail from science background, having state of the art equipments for their job."
