Vikram Bhatt to direct Anil & Bipasha:

With RAAZ scheduled for release on February 1, the Bhatt brothers Mahesh and Mukesh are all set to start a new film with director Vikram Bhatt once again. Vikram is wrapping up AWARA PAAGAL DEEWANA (hes in Muscat right now!) and AAP MUJHE ACHCHE LAGNE LAGE at the moment. Once he is through with these two films, we will start shooting AITBAAR, which teams Anil Kapoor and Bipasha Basu for the first time, Mukesh Bhatt tells me at the outset, adding, Its a joint venture with Rashesh Shah, son of Bharat Shah. This writer has been invited by the Tauranis, Ramesh and Kumar, and the Bhatts for a peep into their forthcoming flick RAAZ. The making of the film, which has several hair-raising sequences, grab your attention instantaneously. Currently, the Bhatts are promoting RAAZ, their latest venture, by holding press conferences in various cities of India. Bipasha Basu, Dino Morea and Ashutosh Rana, who essay pivotal roles in the film, met the Mumbai press at a get-together on January 7 at The Leela. The press meet coincided with the birthday celebrations of Bipasha. Mahesh Bhatt, who presents the film with Tips, was all charged while speaking about the film. There are always two sides to the coin. Similarly, if you believe there is God, you cannot the deny the existence of evil too, Mahesh Bhatt says, adding, RAAZ is a love story with the element of supernatural interwoven in the plot. Continuing further, he reveals, Were lucky to have a musical score like the one in RAAZ. Whenever we (the Bhatts) go through a rough patch, we look at Nadeem-Shravan to bail us out. And with them the bond is so strong that he understands us completely. The music of RAAZ is not due to the professional rapport that we share. Its personal. For us, Nadeem has always been the batsman who scores a double century. According to Mahesh Bhatt, RAAZ is not inspired by any English or Hindi film. For the first time in my career, weve worked upon experiences that people felt and narrated, and developed a story out of it. Vikram Bhatt firmly believes in the supernatural and the one incident that happened to him convinced him to make a film out of it. RAAZ was launched in February last year and will be released on February 1 this year, exactly a year from its launch. Thats the way to go about things. Its time the film industry woke up and smelt coffee. Economics is the most important part while delving in any business. If you stretch a film for 2 or 3 years, your balance sheet is bound to be in the red, Mukesh Bhatt tells me. The Bhatts have always believed in making films with lesser-known stars and completing them in a stipulated timeframe. KASOOR, YEH ZINDAGI KA SAFAR and RAAZ, all three starred not-too-strong names and were made within a fixed budget. Incidentally, RAAZ has been dubbed in Tamil and Telugu languages and will be released with the Hindi version simultaneously.
