2001 saw the clash of several big films (GADAR versus LAGAAN, INDIAN versus ASOKA) and 2002 is no exception. This year will witness the clash of two big-budget films on April 5 AANKHEN and AAP MUJHE ACHCHE LAGNE LAGE. The first one stars the 3 As Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Arjun Rampal, while the latter stars the hit pair of K.N.P.H. Hrithik Roshan and Amisha Patel. How do the producers of the two films look at the competition? The subject of both the films are different, so theres no need to panic. Ours is a romantic film, while AANKHEN seems like an action fare, says Rohit Kumar, producer of A.M.A.L.L. Rohit is planning to release the music of the film on February 14 and the promos of the film will go on air shortly. On the other hand, the promos of AANKHEN have already caught everyones attention. Says Gaurang Doshi, I am not worried. My film has shaped up well and Im not scared of oppositions. Surprisingly, Gaurang has fixed January 15 as the music release date of his film, more than two-and-a-half months prior to its theatrical release. AANKHEN is not a small project. The period we have decided will give the music of the film immense scope to grow and by the time the film hits the theatres, the songs are sure to be on everyones lips, Gaurang states. He has already lined up as many as seven promos of the film, introducing a fresh one at regular interval. Talking of Gaurang, he has already finalised the cast of his next project, to be directed by Ashu Trikha. However, at the moment, he does not want to disclose the names. Just wait for a few more days. We intend to go ahead with the shooting of this project after the release of AANKHEN, Gaurang states. So what happens to a project with AANKHEN director Vipul Shah? Hadnt he announced one more project with him some time back? Thats also in the process. In fact, we have already started work on it, the young producer reveals.
