It is a known fact that Ripples and Varma Corporation had joined hands to make a film, to be directed by E. Niwas and starring Sonu Niigam in the lead. Knowing that Ripples was supposed to produce a film with Sonu, which was to be directed by Akashdeep, we were curious to know whether this project was the same and whether Akashdeep had opted out of the film. "I don't know anything about the project you are talking. But I can confidently say that as far as my script is concerned, the film will be directed by me and will very much star Sonu in the lead, irrespective of who produces it," Akashdeep clarified. On the other hand, Sonu also confirmed the news. "I will be doing a film with Akashdeep for sure. I must have heard round about 70-80 scripts and Akash's script is the best among those I have come across so far. In fact, it is incomparable. It is unfortunate that the film is yet to take off, but I will always stand by Akash for this project. "On the other hand, I have been signed to do a film for Ramu-ji, but I am not aware of Ripples' involvement in it. As far as I know, it will be E. Niwas who will direct this project," discloses Sonu. Sonu will be leaving for Canada in August for Raj Babbar's KAASH... AAP HAMARE HOTE for one-and-a-half months, after which the film will be complete by 70%. So it will only be after his return from Canada that he will start shooting for other films.
