Talk to any producer about the content of his film and he comes up with a predictable answer : My film is hatke from other films. Hatke is a much used and abused word in film circles. But R. Mohan's Raja Ko Rani Se Pyar Ho Gaya is indeed hatke in all respects. For, the film stars a baby elephant in the central role, besides the lead players, Arvind Swamy and Manisha Koirala.
The film has been in the making for several years now and the main reason for its delay were the moods (tantrums!) of the baby elephant. The artistes would be waiting on the sets, but the elephant would be in no mood to shoot. Or at times, it would just go off to sleep... But the wait is finally over. If the promos of the film are indicator of things to come, Raja Ko Rani Se Pyar Ho Gaya, which is scheduled for release during vacations (May), will attaract kids and kids-at-heart by dozens. It could prove the dark horse, for all you know!
