Reportedly, a print of the film will be dispatched to the President of Pakistan, Pervez Musharraf, in the next few days. I am keen to release the film in Pakistan since we share the same culture. Besides, the story is set during an era when India wasnt divided, Akbar confirms the development, continuing in the same breath, We are going through the diplomatic channels. The P.M.O. [Prime Ministers Office] is helping us in our endeavor. Dr. Singhs lavish words of praise have given us the encouragement to explore the film even in areas where Indian films dont see a release. In the meantime, the film-maker isnt disillusioned by the box-office response to his film. Didnt PAKEEZAH and SHOLAY start on a slow note? Im sure, TAJ MAHAL will grow with word of mouth in days to come. In fact, the second weekend was quite steady, it was almost the same as the first weekend. That clearly indicates that the film is growing, Akbar adds.
