Almost a decade ago, Deepak Shivdasani was involved with the Suniel Shetty-Karisma Kapoor starrer GOPI KISHAN. Interestingly, Shivdasani has now teamed Shetty and Arshad Warsi for his next project, also titled GOPI KISHAN. While the first version starred Shetty in dual roles, the new version will have Shetty and Warsi enacting the roles of Gopi and Kishan. "It's not a sequel to GOPI KISHAN. In fact, it's an extension to that film," Shivdasani informs me. To be shot in Singapore from June 1 to July 15, Shivdasani describes the film as an out-and-out comedy. Co-starring two leading ladies [not finalized yet], the film has story by Shaktimaan [GADAR] and screenplay by Nishikant Kamat [JULIE]. Jatin-Lalit will score the music.
