The Melbourne Indian Film Festival is all set to kick start on August 11 and flying to Melbourne will be veteran actor Rishi Kapoor. The actor will be hoisting the Indian National Flag and will also be presented with an honour during the festival.

Besides this, Rishi will be presented with the Excellence in Cinema for his immense contribution to Bollywood. Commenting on it, Mitu Bhomwick Lange, director of IFFM said, "Rishi has been an iconic face of Bollywood and who better than him could we confer with the tile of Excellence in Cinema. His films have been incredibly popular and success and even today he continues to entertain his audience."
It is also being said that Rishi Kapoor will be a part of all the activities of the festival. It is a known fact that Vidya Balan is the face of Melbourne Indian Film Festival and this year the theme of the festival will revolve around woman empowerment.
