Reema’s Indian connection

The Indian press has labeled her the Aishwarya Rai of Pakistan. Reema Khan, the reining queen of Lollywood, is in Mumbai for an altogether different reason. Reema, who has produced-directed KOI TUJH SA KAHAN, a big-budget multi-starrer starring Moammar Rana and Reema herself, is giving finishing touches to the film in Mumbai. Reema’s film is partly Indian. Reema not only recorded songs for the film in Mumbai [the songs were rendered by Indian singers Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan, Abhijeet, Shreya Ghosal and Jaspinder Narula], even the post-production work of the film is currently being carried out at Lakdawala’s Sound City, the hi-tech studio in Andheri. Since Reema is using Indian artists/technicians for her film [Saroj Khan has choreographed the songs], will it not pose a problem for her in Pakistan? Not at all, Reema informs me, In fact, I even spoke to our [Pakistan] Prime Minister about it and he assured me that there’re no issues. Reema is also looking at acting in Bollywood films. I’ve met a few people and the response has been overwhelming, she says. Here’s wishing her the very best!
