Ramgopal Varma is one maker who believes in exploring new horizons. Irrespective of the box-office outcome of his films, you've to credit the person for attempting something different in every film. Ramu is also one person who has never shied from meeting new people. New people are brimming with fresh ideas all the while. I accept what I like, I reject what I don't, Ramu tells me, There's so much to learn from them too.
In the past, Ramu has introduced several new faces, like Aftab Shivdasani and Vivek Oberoi, besides giving a fresh lease of life to the careers of Urmila Matondkar, Manoj Bajpai, Antra Mali and several others. The latest on the film-maker is that he's all set to introduce two new boys in his forthcoming films.
He's tight-lipped about it when this writer discusses the issue. Yes, I'm introducing two new boys in my forthcoming films, but it's too early to talk about the projects, he says. Well, one thing is for sure, the boys whenever they get launched by Ramu are sure to be lapped up by other producers, like Ramu's earlier discoveries.
