Nepalese police shot dead two students as thousands of students clashed with the police and ransacked a theatre to protest a remark allegedly made by actor Hrithik Roshan. About 5,000 students came out on the streets and blocked traffic for nearly two hours. They even ransacked a movie theatre. Four policemen were seriously injured in stone throwing by the students. The police first fired in the air to disperse the crowd, but later had to shoot after the situation went out of control. Meanhile, Hrithik has denied making any such remark. He said that it was a figment of imagination of some vested interests. Most of the television channels have also denied that such an interview was telecast.
