Next international Indian film awards in S Africa:

South Africa is likey to be the next venue for the glittering international Indian films awards function, which was held in London recently. “The film industry is very enthusiastic that the next awards function should be held in South Africa,” founder-director of Wizcraft International entertainment Sabbas Joseph, who organised the London event, told a Durban-based newspaper. He said South Africa was the next possible venue for the awards after London. “It is the second most populous country of people of Indian origin.” He would visit South Africa within the next few weeks to look at possible venues, Joseph said, adding, “all the Bollywood stars who have visited South Africa for shows and shooting of their films are very positive about the country’s people and its government.” “Some members of our organisation have already visited South Africa. But I am now planning to come down myself. If we are satisfied with a venue in South Africa, then the awards will be held in the first quarter of next year,” he said. He said the event in South Africa would cost more than Rs 140-million and he was expecting to attract local sponsors for it.
