All those who feel Hrithik Roshan, the current heartthrob of the nation, may not shine as brightly after the euphoria dies down, will be silenced once FIZA, his second release, hits the theatres on September 9. Mumbai distributors Shringar Films invited several distributors and exhibitors and of course, this writer, for the screening of the four songs of this Jaya Bachchan-Karisma Kapoor-Hrithik Roshan starrer on 18th July at Hotel Sun N Sand, Juhu. The four songs screened had a mesmerising effect on one and all. "It's not a hardcore masala film, nor is it an art film. It is a middle-of-the-road film, which is straight from the heart," Khalid Mohamed, who makes his directorial debut, told us. While the makers have started the promotional campaign on television by introducing the teasers, the song promos will be on air from next week. Of the four songs viewed by us, the dance number picturised on Sushmita Sen (sp. app.), choreographed by Ganesh Hegde, is simply brilliant. The four-and-a-half minute taandav by Hrithik, choreographed by Saroj Khan, will prove a rage once the film releases. However, the makers have decided against showing it in the promos. If the songs of the film are an indicator of things to follow, there is no denying the fact that Hrithik Roshan will live up to the expectations raised after the release of his first film. And, of course, a new director would've arrived!
