Hrithik opting out of Karan Johar’s “Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham” was a rumour:

Somehow, Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan seem to be embroiled in one controversy or the other. But, most of the times, the controversy has no ground absolutely. Take the latest instance. Rumours are rife in Bollywood that Hrithik Roshan has opted out of Karan Johar‘s much-hyped ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’.

Reason? The story goes that the Cola boy had opted out of the film on the grounds of date problems. The actual reason, it is speculated, was Shah Rukh Khan’s presence in the project. The story doesn’t end there.

It was said that Abhishek Bachchan had stepped in Hrithik’s shoes, thanks to the recommendation of the Bachchans, who play pivotal roles in the film.

But the news is as true as rains lashing Mumbai in winter. Yes guys, the rumour has been set to rest by Ashok Vashodia, the secretary cum spokesperson of the teen sensation.

To quote Ashok Vashodia: “It’s a baseless rumour and there is no truth to it. In fact, Hrithik had already participated in the first schedule of the film in October, while the second schedule ended this Monday. And Hrithik participated in this schedule as well.

“Besides, we had allotted Karan the dates for his project almost a year ago, so the question of ‘date problems’ doesn’t arise at all. The question of opting out of the film does not arise since the script is excellent and Hrithik’s characterisation is powerful. It is rare to get this kind of a role.

“Now coming to the ‘problems’ with Shah Rukh Khan, there is no truth to it absolutely. Hrithik and Shah Rukh are very good friends. In fact, Shah Rukh shares a very good rapport with the entire Roshan family.”
